Post-Wedding Elation

That was a very fun weekend.

I just woke up from a very long nap, and I plan to do nothing but scroll through pictures and eat for the rest of the evening. I don't think I got to bed until 4 am, because it was around 3 am when this picture was taken, and I had yet to check out my hotel jacuzzi. I imagine that's what made it a "suite" instead of a regular "room," and although I appreciated the large tub in the end, I nearly keeled over when I paid the bill. Renting hotel rooms is not a game people. Do so with a strong heart and a stronger wallet.

Overall? I think I attended the ultimate wedding. I could never go to another wedding again, and it would be okay, because I got the best of everything yesterday. The ceremony was touching and beautiful, the reception was a wild party, and the dinner was delicious. It helps that the groom's father is a cordon bleu chef. You know what else helps? Me being very, very hungry after a day of running around with my clipboard in hand.* I played a Billy Bragg song during the ceremony that I thought was perfect for my two friends, and indeed, they loved it. My speech was well-received, even when I made a veiled reference to finding pictures of the groom's particulars on my camera when I took it into work one day. The bride didn't even seem to mind my public teasing of our many misadventures, although to be fair, I didn't bring up half the stuff I could've. The band, The Priorities, was the best wedding band I've EVER seen.

I could go on, but frankly, Chopstick Tale delivery dinner is calling me. If I try to continue, eventually I'll just start writing about food, and then I'll be licking the keyboard. Nobody needs to see that.

*Obsessive organizing habits die hard.
