I was wandering around Chapters today, cradling a copy of Organic Housekeeping, when I got a phone call.
"This is (someone who's name escapes me) from (name of organization). I have your notebook here; it says your name on the inside cover. I guess you left it at our meeting in December."
"Um, I've never heard of your organization, and I wasn't at that meeting."
"Oh. Well, it was left here by someone. It says your name and number on it. It's aqua coloured."
"That does sound like one of my notebooks, but I really wasn't at the meeting."
"That's strange. I'll have to see who left it. It's here if you want to pick it up."
Three things could have happened.
1. A fairy house elf took my notebook and left it at this meeting to keep me on my toes.
2. One of my roomies needed a notebook, grabbed mine by accident, and left it at that meeting.
3. Some psycho is stealing from my house.
And actually, all of these options freak me out a touch.
The good news is that I bought the Organic Housekeeping book, and now know how to fend off cockroaches, wash and dry down duvets, and keep my sink germ-free without using toxic cleaners.
