Sherbet

I don't think my Better Half is taking to this cleanse. He's been on it a day, and as far as I can tell, it's been a day of pure torture. The look on his face when I told him that sherbet wasn't on the "ok" list was priceless, if not a bit sad.

For me? It's inconvenient, maybe, but otherwise fine. As long as I take the time to make a lunch with snacks the night before, I can get through the day without chocolate cravings.

It's not that I can't sympathize though. My BH and I are both a little hypoglycemic, and when we need a sugar fix, we need it right freaking NOW. Otherwise headaches ensue and we both get very bitchy. So to tell my BH that the only fruit he can eat is banana when he is in serious need of some sugar? Not the best situation for either of us. It's about that time that I say, "Uh, eat this piece of baklava. It's definitely on the list."*

My weekend off was everything I thought it would be. I napped, rode my bike, and watched bad television. Another couple we know got engaged, but hey, I should really stop being surprised at this point. If anyone else gets married next summer, I'll knit them a wedding gift. With my amazing knitting skills. Scarves, all around.

I've booked a gig in November and confirmed a festival date for next summer, which makes me squealingly happy. The CDs are in the local stores, and frankly, that will do me fine for right now. I'm off to OCFF in two weeks, but until then, I'm taking a breather from anything album related.

*Okay, so he eats the baklava, and I look the other way.

SO MANY BANANAS! It's ridiculous. Ryan actually told me I needed to cut down or I may develop an allergy.

Tell Mayho to get some of those wheat free ginger and almond cookies, they're sweetened with molasses so they both satisfy the craving, and don't break the rules!
